Exam season has started and the preparation for the oh-so-dreaded exams is more or less about to begin. (If you’ve already begun with it, I’m going to go ahead and call you a traitor!) Now, amid this mind-numbing preparation period, everyone takes breaks to rejuvenate themselves. And, if you are one of those who turn to music to do the deed, here’s a list of five rock bands that you must try to revamp both, your mood and your playlist!
1. Fall Out Boy
Fall Out Boy is an American rock band formed in 2001. If you imagined rock bands just to be a couple of people, head-banging on ear-piercing music with incomprehensible lyrics, holding bulky guitars, this band may change your perception. The title of their song ‘Where did the party go?’ seems to perfectly reflect the thought of every student swamped with internals and assignments at the moment and may as well turn out to be an interesting listen. Also, their top tracks like light ‘em up, alone together, Uma Thurman and Centuries should not be missed.

2. Imagine dragons
You may have heard about them through their much acclaimed single “Demons” and the powerful video that accompanied it. Many put this band in the alternative rock genre but they once said in an interview that, “We don’t want to be a cliché band. We don’t want to restrict ourselves to one genre. We don’t want people to remember us from the genre. We want to let people call our songs as Imagine Dragons’ type songs. So in pursuit of that, we push the boundaries of every genre and try to mix them.” Amazing lyrics, great music, inspiring music videos, this band will provide you with all.

3. Panic! at the Disco (P!ATD)
This is an American rock band from Las Vegas, formed in 2004. They’re fresh and have a modern appeal. Their songs are so catchy; you’ll end up humming them for weeks. Few of their tracks that you can try are Ballad of Mona Lisa, New perspective and This is Gospel (both the original and acoustic version)

4. Arctic Monkeys
Along with a unique name, this band is famous for their quirky music with lyrics that’ll connect with you in a second. They’re also pretty famous for their ever-so-hot lead vocalist Alex Turner whose voice contains the perfect amount of snotty English accent, which becomes all the more tempting when lazily delivered. Their fifth album ‘AM’ is absolutely the most incredible album of their career comprising of tracks with fascinating titles such as ‘Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re high?’ And ‘Snap out of it’.

5. The Fray
The Fray is an American pop-rock band from Denver, Colorado, formed in 2002. Their songs are ideal for when you’re sitting alone in a peaceful room at night, looking to go on a ride of self-reflection and intense emotions. Their most famous tracks are How to save a life, You found me, Look after you.
Enamored with love and luxuries, a delightful journey to the best cities across the globe was explored at Oasis’2015, the 45th annual cultural festival of BITS (Birla Institute of Science and Technology), Pilani, at the Pilani campus from 28th October to 1st November, 2015. With their central theme being ‘Around the world in 96 hours’ this voyage was toured by myriads.
The festivities began with a grand inauguration ceremony, where a symbolic ribbon cutting tradition was held, graced by the presence of the Director, Prof A.K. Sarkar and the Deputy Director, Prof S.C. Sivasubramanian to set the pace for an enchanting experience that lay ahead. A variety of remarkable stage performances by all the cultural societies of BITS along with a colorful panorama of fireworks display lit the spark for the coming transcendence of the world tour. The ceremony was followed by the sublime performance of an Israeli band, which included NirMotzeri accompanied by Yonatan Sharon on percussion instruments and Yanush Hurwitz on the accordion, which left the audience mesmerized by their soulful and hauntingly beautiful music.
Day one, thus, began with a beautiful battle of vocal wars in the solo singing competition of Andholika, and a dance extravaganza in Razzmatazz. The preceding events included the Oasis’ 2-on-2 ParliamentaryDebate, a photography Exposure to make the world visible to the naked eyes and an Apt to Act to unleash one’s theatre maniac through spontaneous enacting of on-the-spot given situations in the most creative way.
Organized by Pepsi MTV Indies, the English Professional act featured an exuberant combination of Skrat and Dualist Enquiry. Skrat, is a three piece alternative rock band from Chennai known for their tight and electrifying performances, comprising of band members Sriram T.T, the vocalist and the lead guitarist, Satish Narayanan, the bassist and Tapass Naresh, the drummer. Followed by this performance was the act of Dualist Enquiry, a solo electronic project of Sahej Bakshi, a Delhi-based music composer who, is also known to have worked with electronic dance artists such as David Guetta and Fatboy Slim.
The campus was filled with the loudest cheers when it was time for the Street Dance competition to be held. An exciting Treasure Hunt was also organized with a goal to unearth a proverbial treasure chest by travelling the ‘world’ around us. The day ended with a spectacular display of mesmerizing musical performances in the classical group singing competition of Tarang.
Day Two of Oasis comprised of the event of Beg, Borrow, Steal for all the street smart students, which was met with most enthusiasm. The list of items was a unique blend of objects that were easy to find like a selfie stick or a dongle, and yet, some crazy stuff that were impossible to attain such as socks with golden snitches or Yaoi painting. The team ADP which showed unique creativeness by making a Hawaiian guitar out of thermocol, was the one that eventually won. The following events of the day included vocals workshop for singers, movie quiz for movie buffs, Metamorphosis which served to be a heaven for budding film directors, a Spell Bee and The Golden Gravity Show which showcased stunning aerial acrobatics by a Swiss Trapeze Artist. Preceding these events were delightfully melodic contests for all music lovers such as Swaranjali, displaying the depths of Indian Classical Music and Pitch Perfect exhibiting the extent of one’s vocal prowess through a capella. A bounty of knowledge was received through Skiller, the World Beatbox Champion 2012 from Bulagria and so was the true meaning of love and life through the movie screening of ‘Amelie’, a fanciful comedy of Switzerland. Dance Duels, a solo dance competition was also held which raved great reviews for all its performances.
Papon
Day Three included exciting events like Triathlon, a mind-boggling test of wits and strengths, Tandav, a classical dance competition and a writer’s paradise in The Oasis Reading Session for all closet poets. The much awaited night of supreme pleasure and elevated spirit levels had finally arrived with the amazing acts of Sunburn’s Zenith and Shaan and Russian Hard Rock Sofa’s electrifying performance which left the crowd grooving on both feet in no time and longing for more and more with each passing moment. Mr. and Ms. Oasis, a contest for the hunt of the most talented and charismatic male and female personality of Oasis made everyone stay up all night in the cold just to hear the final results. In the midst of the decisions being made by the judges, the audience was also rewarded with a visual treat of Sonya Nakti, a belly-dancing-fire-spouting performer who, surprisingly, enthralled high amount of cheers from the tired audience even at three in the morning.
The Last day of Oasis was celebrated at the N2O Comedy Show with Biswa, Utsav Chakraborty and Daniel Fernandes who made the crowd roar with laughter till the point they could laugh no more, making everyone forget their worries. In the end, the beautiful Lantern festival made the sky gleam brightly from the farthest distance, with smiles spreading from one face to another thereby creating a perfect end to a perfect festival.
Therefore, it can be said with certainty that there were beautiful memories made for every person to take home during this extraordinary Oasis of ninety six hours.

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies is back with the ninth edition of its annual flagship event, Prodigy. Prodigy is a management oriented event organized for school students which aims to tap their managerial potential and provide them corporate exposure. The underlying motive of the event is in sync with the motive of the college of spotting and developing business talent of the youth in the country. This year, it is being organized at VP Chest Auditorium, North Campus on Friday, November 6, 2015. The all-India prelim of Prodigy witnessed enthusiastic participation from schools all over India from over 15 cities including Delhi and NCR, Amritsar, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Hisar, Jaipur and Dehradun.
The event has three rounds, the first round being the online prelims, where the students are required to submit a solution to the case study provided to them. This case study, based on the concept of Rural Marketing, encouraged students to use their creative side while exposing them to a new concept of management. A total of 55 schools have qualified from the online prelims round for the Prodigy Mains to be held at November 6, where another two rounds will be conducted. From the team contingent of 4 members, two students go into Acumen: the Brainstorming Quiz, which tests the logical ability of the students, and the other two go for Bull’s Eye: The Stock Simulation, which is a simulation of the real world stock market. The students are given a virtual amount of cash to be invested after analysing the market and the rumours. On the basis of the cumulative scores of both the rounds, the team as one contingent will qualify for the grand finale, the Corporate Simulation.
The Corporate Simulation is a theme-based round which is designed from the ground up and promises to give the students an insight into the dynamic business world, where they are required to adapt to the ever-changing external environment, and gain an edge over the competitors with exceptional strategies. The event aims to provide students a learning experience beyond what is taught in books, and gives them a sneak peek into what awaits them in the real world, while giving them unforgettable memories and experiences. Apart from the main event, Prodigy ’15 and Fabindia are also conducting an online event, FabItUp 2015, which is open to all school students, which starts from November 3.
The goal behind Prodigy is to challenge the students, inspire them to take chances, and apply their theoretical knowledge to the practical world, and seeks to motivate them to fulfill their corporate aspirations.
Have you ever heard a story that kept you up all night? Have you heard a story that changed your view towards life? Have you ever heard a story that compelled you to be a better person tomorrow? Josh Talks Delhi managed to do all that. The sixth edition of Josh Talks was held on 30th October, Saturday, 2015 at Airforce Auditorium, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi.
Josh Talks showcases India’s most inspiring stories in order to make inspiration accessible to all. This edition of Josh Talks had ten speakers – dancers, entrepreneurs, scientists, social activists, sportsmen; who came to this platform to share the story of their success and failure.
The event kick-started with Kristen Braddock who shared her beautiful journey of starting a social enterprise “Sewing New Futures”, which creates alternative livelihood for the marginalized women and young teenage girls to give them space in the mainstream social milieu.
Kristen Braddock
Next up was India’s leading fashion icon, a stylist, designer, highly acclaimed Kuchipudi dancer and founder of “Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop” which is India’s first true fashion website. During the question session she advised the young fashion entrepreneurs to “follow the best people in the world to get inspired by their work” and further talked about the importance of marketing and the use of strong and creative visuals.
Pernia Qureshi
The third speaker was a 16 year old girl with an extra-ordinary story. “I would hide drugs in my pockets and hair”, she told the audience and narrated the story of her dark days which were spent stealing, rag-picking, sleeping at railway stations and under flyovers, lost in the haze of drugs before being introduced to Chetna NGO. With the help from this NGO she overcame the loss of her family and drug addiction and is now a national leader who works for the underprivileged, and is heading more than 10,000 children.
Jyoti
The next speaker was a recipient of the Dr. Kalpana Chawla Young Scientist Award, Sourabh Kaushal who talked about space, stars and exploring the world beyond our planet. He went on to say that “true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination”. For him “success consists of going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm”.
Sourabh Kaushal
The fifth speaker was indisputably one of the most awaited speakers. He is former management consultant, corporate coach, motivational speaker and Asia’s best Stand-Up Comedian, Papa CJ. “In comedy, failure is the only way to success”, he said and went on to answer the audience’s questions ranging from the secret behind his hair to his evolution of being a stand-up comedian in an era where it’s easy to get offended over little things.
Papa CJ
The next half of Josh Talks started with Laura Quinn, Founder of Do One Thing, an organization which helps to build a sustainable ecosystem of socially responsible businesses in India. She talked about the importance of purpose in one’s life and said, “When you have purpose in your life, everything changes”.
Laura Quinn
The next two speakers almost had polar stories. Ryan Martyr is a 24 year old dancer, traveler, musician and writer, with no aspirations of having a steady job. His sole purpose in life is to please his soul and he believes in, “if I do what I love, I will be happy”. “If I’ve life, I want to die the happiest person”, he said.
Ryan Martyr
The next speaker’s life was illuminated by happiness only once he touched the horizons which seemed impossible to reach at one time and refused to be limited by his condition. Rajendar Singh Rahelu, 41-year-old power-lifter suffering from infantile paralysis, having won the silver medal at The Glasgow Commonwealth Games’14, Summer Paralympics Athens’04 and the Arjuna Award in 2006, told his story which was full of obstacles that were never too big for his him to overcome.
Rajendar Singh Rahelu
The last two speakers had indomitable spirits. They both refused to drown in sea of self-pity or leave things completely in hands of fate. Surely, they were knocked down, but they got up and took their fate in their own hands. They carved a beautiful life not just for themselves, but they managed to change lives of thousands in that process. Gautam Yadav, coming from the slums of Delhi, he is today a youth icon for the young LGBT community, an ‘HIV & Human Rights Activist’, an honorary board member of several social groups across the globe, a representative at UN and is himself gay and lives positively with HIV with a mission for a better and equal world.
Gautam Yadav
The last speaker was Harsh Songra, the undetected patient of dyspraxia himself till the age of 9, turned his life around after being cured and founded 3 startups by the age of 19, one of which is “MY CHILD” which helps to detect dyspraxia in under a minute. He believes in two things, “Escape the competition” and “Sacrifice who you are for what you want to be”.
Thus, this sixth edition of Josh Talks had ordinary people with extraordinary stories. Stories that inspired, moved, and motivated the people in every sense. Stories brewed out of passion, courage, determination and struggle. Stories which inflicted hope and compelled one to look for the true purpose of life, and be a better person tomorrow.
The Gender Studies Cell, St. Stephen’s College, screened two documentaries over the last week, both of which are extremely pertinent to the current social and cultural scenario that prevails in the country.
In the Mood for Love
Directed by Sandeep Kr. Singh and Aakriti Kohli, In the Mood for Love expresses the idea of love as an emotion that is genderless, through an insight into the everyday lives of homosexual couples, with the purpose of sensitizing viewers to the reality of queer love and relationships, which are considered taboo. The screening was followed by an interactive discussion with the actors and directors of the documentary on alternate sexualities and the living reality of being non-normative in a largely conservative society that is increasingly apprehensive about accepting pluralities and permitting differences to exist. Questions on the politics of sexuality, mainstream films and LGBTQ identities were also raised.
The discussion saw in attendance over 40 students, engaging in an interesting conversation with the team who worked on the film over their challenges and achievements. Prerna Subramanian, a student who attended te discussion says, “I found the documentary taut and simple, yet profound. The characters portrayed in the film were from familiar backgrounds and places and hence, I could relate to the issue even better.”
The discussion ended over the topic of what love meant to the audience and the members of the panel. This invited interesting answers, with some calling love a natural phenomenon and others referring to love as an overrated, cliched and romanticised ideal. However, an agreement was reached on one aspect of love-love is genderless.
The screening of ‘In the Mood for Love’ is the event that kickstarts the Delhi Queer Pride, 2015.
Muzaffarnagar Baaqi Hai
Directed by Nakul Singh Sawhney, ‘Muzaffarnagar Baaqi Hai,’ follows the communal tensions in Muzaffarnagar, which culminated in violent riots in 2013 that were allegedly abetted by certain political parties. The documentary traces the transition of a city, once known as ‘Mohabbat Nagar,’ to a city that has become the keyword for communal violence in the country. The documentary is an intricate collage of several perspectives-the headman of a village, children affected by the riots, the youth in the villages, and women, in the name of the protection of whose honour the riots were instigated.
The screening was followed by a discussion with Nakul Singh Sawhney and P.K.Vijayan (Faculty member, Department of English, Hindu College, and author of ‘Masculinities and Hindu Nationalism’). Nakul Singh Sawhney gave the audience a better picture of how the documentary was made, with interesting stories on the kind of people the team interacted with in the various villages that were affected by the riots. He mentioned some of the challenges faced, particularly while getting the women in the villages to talk to a male crew. An all-female crew was sent in to ensure that the women were more comfortable and expressive. Devika Shekhawat, who was at the screening says, “The documentary has portrayed the leftist political hold over UP and the communal as well as gender aspect very well. It had definitely provoked me to think about the communal politics in India.”
Both screenings resulted in engaging and informative discussions and were well received.
With a vehement passion to take the discipline of Sociology beyond classroom levels and create a strong platform for change in the society, the Department of Sociology of Maitreyi College released its very first Newsletter- ‘Sociologue: Aao Baat Karein’ followed by a talk on ‘Why Gender? Need for Feminist Thinking’ by Professor Rajni Palriwala on the 27th of October, 2015, from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Seminar Hall of Maitreyi College, New Delhi. The programme began with a short speech by Dr. (Mrs.) Yamini Gautam, Vice-Principal of Maitreyi College, on the great value of newsletters in today’s times for disseminating information and spreading awareness on various issues around the world, which are otherwise left unvoiced. Professor (Mrs.) Maala was then, called on the stage to give a warm welcome to the guest speaker, Dr. Rajni Palriwala, who is a Professor of Sociology at the Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University. Her research interests include gender, kinship and marriage, care, citizenship, feminist theory and politics, agrarian and development studies and comparative sociology. She is also an eminent author of many novels and journals, some of which include Changing Kinship, Family and Gender Relations in South Asia; Planning Families, Planning Gender; and Marriage, Migration and Gender.
[caption id="attachment_35899" align="aligncenter" width="767"] Dr. Rajni Panriwala[/caption]
The event was followed by Dr. Rashi Bhargava, Assistant Professor and Editor-in-chief of Sociologue, who explained the true purpose of their newsletter, which was to initiate a platform for social discussion and dialogue, and to promote interactions and liberation of ideas on issues of everyday life which must be confronted, but are mostly neglected. A presentation on an overview of the whole newsletter was thus, demonstrated to give a brief on all the major Editorial features such as Feature Articles, Editors’ Choice, Department Updates, News Headlines, Reflection Box, and Letters to the Editor and Issue Specific Features which would include Stories/Poems/Reviews, Comic Strips/Visual Pieces and Food For Thought, built around one particular theme, every year. The entire team of Sociologue, including the Editorial Board, Creative Team and Publicity Team along with Dr. Rajni, Dr. Yamini, Prof. Maala, Dr. Rashi, Associate Professor Dr. Gopi Tripathy and Prof. Koyal were then, all, invited on the stage to perform the inauguration ceremony. Having run the theme ‘Gender Matters’ this year, it was crucial for someone as prestigious as Professor Rajni to address her few words of wisdom during the launch of Sociologue. She started by reminiscing her childhood days wherein she was surprised to observe that despite being treated equally in the arena of education, her family would always create differences among her siblings when it came to cooking, and every time, she would persuade her family into finding her a groom who could cook instead, a wave of laughter would fill the air. Growing up, she realized that such differences, which she earlier took as being natural, were in fact, cultural- that is, made by the world around us, and which have always been prevalent, ever since the times of Suffrage and the Indian National Movement. She explained that the reason “Why Gender?” is debated upon so much is because of the fact that people always took gender differences as being natural, especially in the dimension of work. She said, that, “People always required women to cook, take care of the ‘unpaid domestic work’ and become the bedrock of their families. They thought that women did all this naturally, and it was thus, considered as their ‘real job’. Even if middle-class or poor women did go out for work to subsist their family, they were still required to finish their entire household ‘work’ as well.”She then, emphasized that the reason why unequal treatment of women in the public sphere of education and employment is still very much prevalent in our society, is because our constitution has only acquired formal equality for women, and not a substantive one. She referred to the popular saying, “Personal is political” by justifying that our lives are deeply political as it’s all about the personal ‘power’ of a person, whether it’s men who may dominate their power over others or women who may succumb to the oppression of powers by others. She further elucidated that many women have now become victims of the ‘Stockholm syndrome’ which means that after being imprisoned or bounded by the dominant structure of the society for so long, women have started accepting such ways of life where they no longer feel the urge to break away. This is also one of the reasons why most of them do not raise their voice anymore and choose to stay silent despite being treated unfairly repeatedly by anyone. She also enlightened everyone with the fact that the equality which women ask for is not of being treated exactly as men, but of that in which men and women of all castes and classes must be different. She said that, “the idea of true equality does not call for exact sameness, but of enhancing and appreciating the idea of differences among them, and being treated with ‘equal’ dignity and respect.” She, therefore, encouraged all the girls to continue the fight against unjust treatment and to continue discussing such topics with those having opposite perspectives until they realize that they are wrong. According to her, there must be a very strong sense of collectivity and uniformity among women, or a need for Feminism, as the battle to remove all gender inequalities may be slow and hard, but will eventually bring about an epicenter of change.Shagun Marwah[email protected]Image Credits: Bayar Jain and Vibhana Kanwar, Members of Vista- The Photography Society of Maitreyi College]]>
The mention of the IAS exam brings to mind two images-that of our hopeful parents, in awe of this noble profession, and that of ourselves if we decide to take the dreaded exam, burning the midnight oil, drenched in sweat, unable to complete the inexhaustible syllabus!
Here is an attempt to give you insights into the 5 personality types which take up this battle head on:
1. The Perfect Star Kid:
Come on. You know this kid. He/she has been in every class in every school/college. Common characteristics of this species include: scoring straight A’s, being the favourite of every teacher and being great in extra-curricular activities as well. Basically, they did everything so smoothly (and, excelled at them, too!) that it made you dislike them with all your heart. They also drove you to experience the existential crisis of your life where you constantly questioned your worth and purpose. These are the students who decide to outshine others yet again by not only cracking but topping IAS. You may see them in libraries working with all their strength to achieve such a goal.
2. The On-the-fence students:
These are the confused ones- those who give the IAS exam just because they haven’t decided on a particular choice of field for their future. No harm in writing it, is there? They fill forms for every possible entrance exam praying and hoping that at least through some exam they’ll magically find their calling. IAS is nothing more than another option for them and a means to gain the much talked about “experience” of giving such an arduous paper.
3. The Good Samaritan:
This is the naïve kid who has succumbed to the constant pleas of his or her parents-“Beta, there should be at least one member of the family in IAS, no? It has been our dream to see you in the service-” accompanied by a tear or two. The daughter/son in this case, is ready to take one for the team and try their luck. Their goal is less oriented towards cracking the paper and more towards gaining appreciation from their parents in front of Sharma Ji who constantly pesters their family with “My beta studies in Amrika!”
4. Scions of the families in service:
These are the aspirants who belong to families who have many members in the Indian Administrative Services. Thus, it is perceived to be a given that these kids will prepare for IAS as well. And, the question is not about whether they’re able to crack it or not but if they’ll be able to vanquish the other members of the family by surpassing the marks scored by them. Life is a race, and all that.
5. The Senior Citizens:
IAS is not for the faint-hearted. It requires intense hard-work and without that your odds of clearing the paper will be negligent. But, the aspirants in this category have taken “try once more” a little too seriously. These are aspirants looking for that one big break – The Nirvana seekers!
Civilsdaily’s Android App provides strategy for clearing the IAS Exam and supplies essential Daily News for FREE which can help you get started with Current Affairs. If you are an aspirant, you should start your studies by reading their ULTIMATE GUIDE TO IAS PREP.
For all the believers of destiny, it wrote for each one of us, three years, that were purely dedicated for a phase called ‘young and reckless!’. This phase starts when we enter the college and ends when we finally grow up to face the realities of life! While, in these years, we tend to do what everyone would do, behave like we are the coolest alive but, wear what we really love to wear. How others would think about your style is something that you will never pay heat to. And, that is how the humans of Delhi University, created a trend of its kind – Campus Style, the young, wild and reckless Fashion that you will only find in DU and nowhere else. What you might not know is that the girls here have their own Fashion secrets. How about we leak out some to you?
SHIRT IT UP!
For the usual lousy days at college, the girls at DU prefer to keep it light. No! They won’t specially go for a casual shopping spree, they will rather sneak into their guy friends’ cupboards and steal their shirts. Checkered or striped shirts with rolled up sleeves and denims make a perfect free day college look for them. They might as well feel like dressing up sometimes, but, for the rest, they are absolutely in love with their shirts! So, if you’re DU lover, we are sure you have aced this trick by now!
2. JIFFY JUNK!
With due respect to the late nights and late wake ups, these girls still know how to sizzle up their look in a jiffy! They won’t give much time to their look, but, their Junk jewellery will be up for a save. A clump of bangles on one hand, a worn leather band on the other and the most pretty looking jhumkis has always been the perfect route to styling for them. And, the main reason why they have an undying bend towards street shopping is the junk jewellery that they spot from anywhere and everywhere.
3. POUT OUT!
Being in college, makeup would be the last resort for any girl. What makes them look sinfully stunning is their ‘no-makeup’-makeup look. Irrespective of all the essentials in their bag, you will find the most poppy shades of lip colors in them undoubtedly. One hot pink shade on their lips, aviators, and they are pout ready! But, if you think it’s all about being jazzy, let us remind you they are also in love with the nudes! Afterall, that is how they define campus styling. The main make mantra for these gorgeous girls is – ‘Pout out and K.I.S.S’, Keep it simple silly!
4. HELLO ARM CANDIES!
What intrigues us the most about DU is how these DU Divas have a secret collection of Bags in their trunks! From fringed slings, to spongebob backpacks to rugged leather bucket bags, you name it and they have it. The catch though, is that they honestly follow the bag bible and know it right when to carry which bag to complete their looks. For the skater dress girly look, they have their cute slings out while for the ripped jeans attire, they will hop out of their houses with their backpacks on! Unaware of this trick? You definitely need to get out for some bag shopping!
5. I’M FEELING ‘EM SHOES!
And, when you hear ‘after diamonds, shoes are a girl’s best friend!’, it falls completely true for a DU girl. They do know their shoes well! Among the massive amount of women traveling in metro, if you spot ladies in their quirky slippers, it goes without a guess that they are from Delhi University. ‘Opt for the easy way out, but, don’t forget to nail it!’ – is what they believe. Thong sandals are their regular summer flings and for winters, ‘oo la la!’, the leather boots are out! And hey! Don’t forget how toms became popular in Delhi! All credits to DU girls and their fun cravings!
The style secrets are out ladies, get going with these fun tricks and do tell us when all eyes are on you in your college. Think you can add to this list? Download the Wooplr app and reveal some of your campus style secrets! ASAP!
