The University of Delhi has announced 126 non-teaching vacancies for Senior Assistant and Assistant posts. Online applications open on October 23.
The University of Delhi (DU) has announced 126 vacancies for non-teaching posts, with online applications set to open on October 23, 2026. The university will fill 46 Senior Assistant posts and 80 Assistant posts under Advertisement No. R&P/323/2026, dated October 19, 2026. The vacancies are on a regular basis and cover administrative roles.
The Senior Assistant post is placed at Pay Level 6, while the Assistant post carries Pay Level 4. Assistant roles make up roughly 63 per cent of the total vacancies. Online registration will run from October 23 to November 9. The deadline may extend to two weeks after the advertisement appears in Employment News, whichever date is later. Candidates must apply through the official DU website, du.ac.in.
Applicants will be asked to fill in personal, educational and experience details in the online form, so candidates should keep their documents ready before the link goes live on October 23. The full advertisement on du.ac.in lists eligibility criteria, experience requirements, reservation details and the selection process. Aspirants have been advised to use only the link provided by the university and to avoid third-party sites when filling the form.
This is the latest in a series of non-teaching recruitment drives at the university. In December 2024, DU invited applications for 137 posts, including 11 Assistant Registrar, 46 Senior Assistant and 80 Assistant positions. An earlier drive, conducted by the National Testing Agency, aimed to fill 1,145 vacancies across 51 non-teaching posts, with examinations held in March 2023. At 126 posts, the current drive is smaller than the December 2024 round and far smaller than the 1,145-vacancy exercise conducted through the NTA.
In the previous drive, applications went through a preliminary scrutiny, after which provisionally eligible candidates were allowed to appear for the recruitment examination.
Further details, including the category-wise distribution of vacancies, are available in the notification on the DU website. Candidates can track further updates on the university’s official website.
