Introduction
Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women (SRCASW) was established in 1989 under the Government of NCT of Delhi and is a fully-maintained constituent college of the University of Delhi. Located in Vasundhara Enclave. Over the years, it has grown into a distinctive institution.
The college is dedicated to women’s education with focus on applied sciences, management and emerging technology-oriented programmes. Over the years, it has grown to offer a wide array of honours courses, aligning with modern industry and research demands.
SRCASW Infrastructure & Campus Facilities
The SRCASW campus is around 9.5 acres situated in East Delhi’s Vasundhara Enclave and provides infrastructure geared toward applied and technical education.The college offers modern labs for disciplines like Food Technology, Instrumentation, Electronics, Biomedical Science and applied learning environments for its science/technology streams. The library is described as holding a strong collection of books and e-resources, catering especially to science and technology domains. Other resources include seminar halls, specifications of WiFi/zoned connectivity, and digital resources. The college’s training and placement unit has been active for over a decade, working across 14 departments. The college also has a limited hostel facility for students who don’t reside in Delhi-NCR.
Courses Offered at SRCASW, Delhi University
SRCASW offers a range of 14 undergraduate honours programmes primarily in science and technology, alongside business/commerce and social science options.
In the Science domain, the college offers B. Sc. (honours) in Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Food Technology, Instrumentation, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics and Statistics.
In the Commerce domain, the college offers two courses, namely Bachelor of Business Administration (FIA) and Bachelor of Management Studies. The only course offered in the Arts department is B.A. (honours) Psychology.
he college in collaboration with CISCO runs a CNAP Networking Academy programme and prepares the students for CCNA industry certification. The college also has School of Open Learning (SOL) study centre and Indira Gandhi Open National University (IGNOU) for Post-Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking (PGDLAN).
The fees for courses can vary according to discipline and the category of students. The highest first year fees charged by the college is Rs. 40,080 for the B. Sc. Computer Science course, followed by Rs. 36,080 for the BBA (FIA) course, and finally Rs. 35080 for the B. Sc. Biomedical Science course. For all other courses, the fees for the first year is uniform at Rs. 25,080.
For PwD students, the fees for all courses is Rs. 2,900.
Scholarships and Financial Assistance at SRCASW
Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women provides fee concession every year to the economically weak students of the college.
- Central Sector Scheme Of Scholarship For College And University Students – Awarded by the Ministry of Education to Class XII toppers from each State/Board.
Eligibility: Family income ≤ ₹4.5 lakh per annum, pursuing regular degree courses in recognised institutions, and not availing other scholarships.
Amount: ₹10,000 per year for UG (first three years)
The scholarship amount is Rs.5400/- per month for general degree courses and Rs.7800/- per month for technical/medical/professional/paramedical courses. For availing scholarship under this scheme, the income of the parents of the student should not exceed Rs.4.5 lakh per annum.
Awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs for financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities in India to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses. Financial assistance is given to pursue graduate-level or postgraduate-level technical and professional courses from a recognised institution.
The scheme offers 10,000 scholarships every year at Rs 0.80 lakh per year for the talented youth in the age group 17-22 years, for undertaking Bachelor and Masters level education in natural sciences.
PMS Scholarships are awarded to students having domicile of J&K State and having passed 10+2 Exam or 10+3 Diploma Exam from J&K and whose family income does not exceed Rs. 8 Lakh per annum are eligible for this scheme for pursuing higher studies outside the State of J&K.
Awarded to young women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to support their pursuit of undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in science.
- Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme For Central Armed Police Forces And Assam Rifles
Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) under the aegis of the National Defence Fund, was introduced from the academic year 2006-07 to encourage higher technical & professional education for the dependent wards & widows of Central Armed Police Forces & Assam Rifles (CAPFs & AR) Personnel.

Undergraduate Admissions (UG)
Admission to Shaheed Rajguru College, Delhi University is based on CUET scores and governed by the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG).
Eligibility requires completion of Class XII (or equivalent) from a recognized board. CUET scores in language, domain subjects, and general tests determine seat allocation.

The Placement/Training Cell at SRCASW collaborates with over 25 companies including Wipro, Google, Vodafone, HCL Tech, Genpact, ICICI Prudential, etc.
For the 2023-24 cycle, the cell had provided opportunities ranging from Engineering. Data Analytics, Medical, Finance, Marketing, HR, and Research.The maximum CTC offered was INR 23 LPA. The average and median figures revolved around INR 6.42 LPA and INR 6.42 LPA respectively. Up to March 2024, 57 students had been offered multifarious job offers.
The college offers research opportunities by offering external internships to undergraduate/postgraduate students from various institutes, university departments, and colleges on Life Science/ Chemical Sciences /Physical Sciences /Psychology /Management modules at Shaheed Rajguru College and internal internships as well.
