Cluster Innovation Centre

Established in September 2011, Cluster Innovation Center is supported by the National Innovation Council (NInC) and aided by Union Human Resource Development Ministry. CIC aims to present its students with a creative and innovative study system that involves hands- on projects and connects research with application in society.

The institute has gained recognition through its off- beat programmes and projects which require students to develop solutions and innovate in the true sense of the word.

The centre has signed MOUs with a number of organizations such as- Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for joint project research, internships, and excellence centre, IIT Bombay, foreign universities, NTPC, PHD Chamber of Commerce for business incubation, and the Ministry of Information Technology for a software technology park.

Location and Accessibility

CIC is located on G. C. Narang Marg in the bustling North Campus. It is less than a kilometer away from Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station on the yellow line. A short rickshaw ride or even a quick walk will get you there in less than 5 minutes from the metro station.

B.Tech. / B.S. (Innovation with Mathematics & IT): 4 years

B.Tech. Humanities in five streams-

Keeping in mind its objective of providing an environment that promotes development of innovative ideas and their successful application, a Design Innovation Centre has been set up. It is open to all students of Delhi University.

An Engineering Kitchen, or the Innovation Lab, houses a wide variety of tools and equipment required in the fields of electronic and electrical design, physics, mechanical engineering and even state of the art laser cutting tools.

A Computer Science Lab, complete with Macintosh OS for graphic designing, All- In- One Dell desktops for optimum computing, servers and internet facilities.

An Embedded System and Robotics Lab, which has been set up in association with IIT Bombay. This lab, equipped with latest gadgetry, was used to develop the robots for the NASA Lunabotics competition. The robotics society, Autonomi hosts workshops for school and college students and also for teachers.

The centre also has access to the University’s multi- purpose indoor stadium for TT, Yoga, Badminton, along with a gym and an indoor basketball court, a sprawling ground for outdoor sports and other facilities for chess, carom etc.

B. Tech./B.S. Innovation with Mathematics & Information Technology

40 Seats. Reservation as per university rules.

Eligibility criteria:

Minimum aggregate at 10+2 level:

General Category: 60 % in four subjects (including mathematics);

OBC category: 54% in four subjects (including mathematics);

PH category: 55% in four subjects (including mathematics);

SC/ST category: Passing marks with mathematics as one subject.

The candidate must be enrolled in any of the regular Full-Time undergraduate programme of study in the University of Delhi at the time of admission.

B. Tech. Humanities

40 Seats, Reservation as per university rules.

Eligibility criteria:

Minimum aggregate at 10+2 level:

PH category: 55% in four subjects;

OBC category: 54% in four subjects;

SC/ST category: Passing marks.

General category: 60% in four subjects;

Candidate must be enrolled in any undergraduate programme of study in a regular college of University of Delhi, School of Open Learning (SOL) or Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) of University of Delhi at the time of admission.

Master of Mathematics Education

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelors in any subject with 2 math papers.

The admission to the course is through an entrance test (75% weightage) followed by an interview (25% weightage) of shortlisted candidates.
