Miranda House launches women-only TV anchoring and personality development certification course.

Miranda House, University of Delhi, has invited applications for a three-month Certificate Course in TV Anchoring and Personality Development, exclusively for women. The programme is being offered in collaboration with former Lok Sabha TV anchor Ms. Lotty Alaric, who is also a media trainer and communication coach.

The course will commence from 16 August 2026 and will be conducted in offline mode twice a week, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Women candidates who have completed 10+2 in any stream are eligible to apply.

Admissions will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with 40 seats available. The total course fee is ₹15,000, comprising a non-refundable admission fee of ₹3,000 and a tuition fee of ₹12,000, payable online.

Interested candidates can apply until 3 August 2026 by filling out a Google Form, which can be accessed by scanning the QR code provided in the official poster. Applicants are required to submit their Class 10 marksheet during the admission process.

The course has been introduced to train young women with practical media and communication skills while improving their confidence and professional presence. It aims to provide hands-on training in television anchoring, voice and communication, confidence building and personality development. Participants will also receive practical studio training and personalised mentoring, enabling them to develop industry-relevant skills and gain first-hand exposure to the field of broadcast media.

The programme is part of Miranda House’s initiatives to provide students with practical, skill-based learning beyond the classroom. It seeks to strengthen their communication, presentation, and leadership abilities while preparing them for opportunities in the media and communication sector. The course is expected to help participants become more confident speakers and communicators while giving them a better understanding of the broadcasting industry.
