Symphony- The Cutting Edge

The three day extravaganza, Symphony- The Annual Cultural Fest of Janki Devi Memorial College kick started with enlightening performances & a bulk of participation, on 8th Jan, 2020.

This year, in accordance with its theme, “The Cutting Edge”, Symphony was an amalgam of competitions and performances in their most advanced forms. This year, Symphony was celebrated not only as a fest, but as a symbol of tranquillity and unity against violence, in which students wore black throughout to support the cause. Symphony was celebrated to unite hearts with peace and harmony in the tough times of violence and brutality against educational institutions.

With around 30 events spread over three days, the first day had Munadi-The Street Play Competition as the main attraction of the day. While day 2 was full of competitions that searched for talents, highlight of the day being Footloose-The Western Dance Competition & Jhankaar-The Folk Dance Competition.

The fest had amazing food and shopping stalls set up with brands like La Pino Pizza, Burger Club, Kaarobaar, etc. with items ranging from stoles and jewellery to stationary and chocolates.
The third day of the fest began with competitions such as Aradhi-The Classical Dance Competition, Ragini-Hindustani Classical Solo Vocal, Anjali-Rangoli & Mehendi Competition, etc. and ended on an enthralling note as the one and only Jass Manak, Punjabi Singer & Song-writer sang his best compositions like Lehenga, Prada and Viah along with few Punjabi and Bollywood songs.

Symphony received a huge footfall and was celebrated with great zeal.
Overall, the fest marked a successful beginning of 2020 for Janki Devi Memorial College.
