Poetics and Dynamic: The Story of Tuheena Raj

When Tuheena Raj graduated from The Shri Ram College of Commerce in 2016, little did she
know that she would soon be stepping into the campus in a new role in less than 3 years.
A student of Bachelor of Commerce at SRCC, Tuheena went on to become a banker with Citi
right after graduation. However, it is not banking that brings her back to campus but her
capabilities as poet and a writer.
Tuheena is the founder and writer of the famous literary blog WordsofWorth. She writes quotes,
epigrams and poems with a socialist bent of mind. Her poems speak about self love, mental
health awareness and body positivity. She also speaks about feminism, equality and inclusivity.
Started in the year, 2016 when Tuheena was in college, WordsofWorth now has over 150k
readers on various social media platforms.

“Delhi University has a huge role in shaping me as a person.” says Tuheena.
“My father is an associate professor at the University of Delhi and I aspired to study here ever
since I was a child. My time at SRCC helped me understand people. Delhi University is such a
melting pot of cultures. Being a part of Enactus and the Dramatics society in college helped
understand nuances of peoples’ emotions. It made me take peoples’ experiences and stories
and make them a part of my own” she adds.
In 2018, Tuheena was first invited as a guest speaker and judge of the poetry open at the
College of Vocational Studies. Post which she has been invited by colleges across DU like Kirori
Mal College, Daulat Ram College, Institute of Home Economics and Netaji Subhash Institute of
Technology.
“It’s humbling to be welcomed back by the University and its students. The feeling is
indescribable. There so much I’ve learnt from this place. It’s time to give back.”
