DU Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singh inaugurates amphitheatre, announces funds for new girls hostel at Kalindi College

Professor Dinesh Singh, the Vice Chancellor of University of Delhi was seen at Kalindi College on Thursday, April 30th, 2014. The 2014 Padma Shri awardee was there for the inaugural ceremony of  the newly constructed Teaching Research and Innovation Block and Amphitheatre of the college.

The DU Vice Chancellor addressed the audience in the college campus as a part of the ceremony.“Today, our country is going through a phase in which educational institutions play a vital role in grooming the future prospects of the nation. And if given the right direction and proper environment to study, the students develop their inner conscience and achieve , not only  for themselves but also their country.”said Professor Dinesh Singh.

Professor Singh praised the hard work and efforts made by the college administration and added “Principal Dr. Anula Maurya has the charismatic leadership to do something good for this college. Also the students are enthusiastic and seek just the right direction which college is efficiently providing them”.

On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor also announced allocation of funds for construction of a girls hostel in college campus, work on which shall begin soon.

Prof. Dinabandhu Sahoo, Chairman of the governing body, Kalindi College, asserted, “The necessary infrastructural support provided by the University, shall enable students and teachers to  strive for greater heights in the academic endeavors. The recent developments in the college infrastructure will certainly prove fruitful in this direction too.”
