Abish Matthew attends Entreyug’15 by E-Cell JMC and E-cell DCAC

Entrepreneurship Cell, Jesus and Mary College and Vyapaar, E-Cell, Delhi College of Art and Commerce organised Entreyug’15 on November 3rd in Jesus and Mary College. It was an amalgamation of various events, startup fair and a speaker session. The event was attended by over 600 students from  various colleges across Delhi. The chief attraction of the event was the guest speaker and comedian Abish Mathew.

The events began with the ‘Game of Entreyug’ consisting of a combination of 7 events like Emote it, Nothing to lose, Translate it, Realm of Numbers, E-Guess, Uniquify your B-plan and Grab the Bait. The startup fair, consisting of twelve stalls was carried out simultaneously. Startups like Kuppies, Bobble, Stri, Azura, Fabity, Zoomcar, Orange, Lavanya Art Works, Climber, Blisspoint, Cinescope Talkies, Enactus DCAC among others showcased their entrepreneurial streak. The convenor of both societies expressed that such successful associative events between colleges should be encouraged.

Raunika, a student of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies, who established her startup ‘Azura’ a month back expressed her delight on seeing the responses of the visitors. She said, “I am happy to see so many students genuinely liking my work. This is my first such initiative, and it turned out to be definitely encouraging.”

The speakers included Mr Harshal Patel, Head of Marketing and Partnership affairs of the Bobble App, Vineet Taneja, CEO of Micromax, Mr Rajat Jain, former MD of Walt Disney and Mr Rohit Raj, owner of Sneh Hotels and Grog Entertainment.The speaker session concluded with an hour of extreme entertainment, As Abish Mathew delivered the final speech with his typical brand of humour. When asked about the speaker session, Harshit, a student of Delhi College of Arts and Commerce said, “It was a knowledgeable yet fun experience. I gained a lot yet laughed like never before.”

Shubhi Vashistha and Salil Arora, President of Entrepreneurship Cell JMC and Vyapaar,E-Cell DCAC respectively, appreciated the collaborative efforts of both the colleges, which made this initiative possible.
