Flipkart’s #BigBillionDay Sale on October 6th turned out to be a #BigDisappointment instead. While many shoppers eagerly awaited this day, many weer disappointed because the site was malfunctioning in intervals throughout the day, servers crashed and people found themselves staring at screens that said “Out of Stock”. Not just that, the brand image of the company took a serious hit as many complained of pricing scams and rigged figures. As if all of that wasn’t enough, Flipkart’s competitor Snapdeal stole the show for many with its ambush marketing move on the day of the big sale.
Though Flipkart has claimed to have achieved sales worth $100 million in 24 hours, it became the laughing stock of the internet with some hilarious jibes on Twitter. Here’s a compilation of some of them!
