Journalism has been called the “first rough draft of history”. D.U.B may be termed as the first rough draft of DU history. Ridiculous hyperboles apart, D.U.B knows fully well that the DU students have an insatiable curiosity to know everything. Conscious of this, DU Beat has been providing the DU students with what they need and demand, the truth.
But the question arises, do we always succeed. Or rather have we in the last year been able to stick to our motto of freedom of expression. Isn’t truth, the absolutely, naked and caustic truth a dangerous commodity in the context of journalism.
However, D.U.B begs to differ and believes that with truth, there will be a spark.
From a spark, there will be a fire.
And from a fire there will be Light.
Let there be Light.
Let there be D.U.B.
