DU to promote failed students who joined in 2013 and 2014

The university has allowed the promotion of the students who joined in 2013, 2014 and have failed in their third and second years. Prior to this, the students were left hanging for weeks with nobody offering them any clue as to what to do. All they were told was to wait for the notice, which has now come.  This move is to ensure that the erstwhile FYUP batch and the batch under the three semester programme do not get stuck with the credit based system of 2015, of which they were not a part.  The failed students will be promoted under a special case.

According to the official notification, “The authority has approved the recommendations of the Standing Committee (Students) regarding movement of students admitted in the academic years 2013 and 2014, who have failed in the second year of the three-year programme and in the third year of erstwhile four-year B.Tech programme to third year and fourth year respectively as a special case.”

However, the failed students will have to clear all their back logs or pending papers if they are to be qualified for the degree. The Standing Committee has also approved the inter-college migration of students who had applied before 31st of August but were unable to do so due to late declaration of semester results.
