FMS opens Online Admission Registration for batch 2015-17

With the outset of online admission registration for batch 2015-17 for MBA (Full-time) on October 8, 2014, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi has decided to continue with CAT. For all aspiring candidates, it is mandatory to appear for the Common Aptitude Test (CAT) organised by the IIMs, which is to be held on 16th and 22nd November, 2014.

Dr. M.L. Singla, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies assured a smooth operation of the admission process where all stakeholders will be taken in consultation. FMS began its online registration a month earlier than the last year and the last date for application is 10th November, 2014. CAT aspirants are required to specifically apply to FMS Delhi along with applying and appearing for CAT. Eligible candidates appearing for CAT 2014 and planning to take admission to 2-year full-time MBA Program at FMS Delhi for the batch 2015-17 can apply online through FMS website. There is no off-line mode to register.

The candidates will be shortlisted as per their performance in CAT 2014. The first round of short listing candidates would not consider work experience and academic performance. Candidates shall be shortlisted solely on their CAT scores. The shortlisted candidates shall be called for the second round-involving Group Discussions and Personal Interview. For releasing the final list of candidates, all factors including work experience and academic performance shall be considered.

The cost of online application and registration is Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 350/- for SC/ST/PwD). Aspirants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, along with 12 years of formal schooling, with at least 50% marks (45% for PwD/CW/OBC and passing marks for SC/ST) or equivalent CGPA. Final year students in undergraduate degrees can also apply. Along with MBA (Full-time), FMS also offers doctoral programs.

A top B-School in India, the 2014 placements average salary was near Rs. 16 Lakh.
