The Delhi University (DU) has opened a window after over 39k students of the School of Open Learning and regular students missed the deadline for filling out the exam form which was due on 5th December 2020.
Out of 1,41,298 students who will appear for the blended online Open Book Exam (OBE) from December 12, 2020, about 39000 students haven’t filled the form for the exam which is to begin on 12th December 2020.
Every year 10-20% of the students do not fill the forms. But this year we had sent multiple reminders through the mail.said US Pandey, Officiating Principal, School of Open Learning (SOL).
For a student like me with little internet access and remote locations, it becomes very difficult to keep myself updated with the requirements of Online OBE. There are so many confusing notifications from DU, I find all this too overwhelming and this confusion has caused many of us to miss deadlines.says Rijul Sharma, a student of Delhi University (DU)
Despite several objections raised by students, exams will begin according to the schedule on 12th December 2020.
DU Dean of Exams D S Rawat, in a statement to the Times of India, has stated that filling out of the exam form will be extended for a few more days. “Students should be a little more serious as we have been sending information on time and multiple reminders,” he says.
The Open Book Examinations (OBE) for the University of Delhi will commence from 12th December 2020.
