The Admission Department of the University of Delhi has announced that it will conduct an online live webinar on 23rd June 2020, for the undergraduate admissions to the university to aid and guide the aspirants in the admission process and solve their queries due to major changes initiated by the university in the admission procedures in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic situation.
Delhi University has majorly modified the admission procedures due to the situation created by the Covid-19 pandemic situation and consequent lockdowns. Among the changes, are the decisions of the University of Not conducting ECA and Sports Trials, conducting the entire admission procedure online, among a few others.
The University earlier used to conduct Open House programs, where the officials used to resolve the queries of parents and aspirants; however, it isn’t a viable option anymore due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation due to which the university has decided to conduct a webinar.
The webinar to be conducted by the Admission branch of the university would be presided over by Professor Shobha Bagai- Dean of Admissions, Dr. Harneet Gandhi- Deputy Dean of Admissions and Dr. Suman Kumar- Member Admission Branch.
The webinar has an online registration process and is free for all students who wish to attend it and clear their doubts or queries regarding the undergraduate admissions for the session 2020. The Webinar will be conducted by the university on 23rd June 2020, from 11 AM to 1 PM.
The university’s decision to conduct the webinar has come as a sign of relief for many DU aspirants who’ve been facing several issues with the form and admission process due to the changes made by the university this year.
“I think it’s a very good decision by the university to organize this webinar on undergraduate admissions. It will certainly help streamline things and clarify any doubts and uncertainties that students might be having regarding the admissions procedure. As an aspirant myself, I am feeling relieved that I’ll be able to get official help for solving my queries,” says Shaurya Mahajan, a DU aspirant from Delhi Public School Noida.
