The much-anticipated second cut-off list gives aspiring students a chance to either secure their admission, or upgrade colleges.

With 23,780 seats filled out of 63,000 and huge crowds observed in many University of Delhi (DU) colleges in the first cut-off list, all eyes are on the second cut-off list now. Despite some of the highest cut-offs being declared for B.A. Political Science courses, various colleges, including Miranda House, Ramjas and Kirori Mal reported that seats for the programme had been filled up and a second cut-off list would not be released, as reported by The Hindu.

LIVE: DU Colleges begin releasing 2nd Cut-off Lists

With around 15,000 seats filled out of 65,000 and huge crowds observed in many University of Delhi colleges in the first cut-off list, all eyes are on the second cut-off list now. Given the turnout on 19th June, numbers suggest that seats for top courses in top colleges have almost filled, implying that many DU colleges may not come out with a second list only. Last year, DU colleges were able to fill only 2200 seats in the first round, which suggests that this year the cut-offs have been reasonably realistic.

DU colleges release second cut-off list, fall from the first list is only marginal

Several Delhi University colleges have begun releasing the second cut-off list for admissions 2016. There has not been a great decrease from the cut-offs released in the first list, with SRCC reducing the cut-off for B.Com (Hons.) only by 0.50%. KMC and Shaheed Bhagat Singh College close admissions for courses like History (Hons.), without a second cut-off. The admission procedure under the second cut-off list begins tomorrow (5th July, 2016). Here are the DU colleges that have released their second list of cut-offs:
