Model United Nations is an educational simulation in which participants gain insight into the workings of the United Nations and the dynamics of international relations by assuming the roles of UN representatives and members of other international bodies and national cabinets. Such an event attracts participants from both the school level and the collegiate level.
Zenith Model United Nations is the annual MUN hosted by Miranda House, University of Delhi. Zenith MUN has come a long way in a short span of time. Since its inception in 2012, it has served as a platform of debating and brainstorming. With an average participation of over 200 students from across the length and breadth of the country, ZMUN has grown in substantially different ways, and this year too, they hope to redefine how Model UN is conducted. Zenith MUN is one of the biggest celebrations of the power of expression. This annual conference offers delegates the chance to debate pressing global issues, challenge them to take on new perspectives, and build strong networks—enabling them to become the world leaders of tomorrow.
The 6th edition of the conference will be held on 4 and 5 March, 2017. The third round of applications is now open. The deadline for submission is February 7, 2017.This is also the final round of International Press applications, with forms for both Journalists and Photographers. Zenith #MUN 2017 aspires to provide a platform where the Fourth Estate functions autonomously and creatively to produce ‘The Scintillator’, the official daily newsletter of the Conference.
Information about the conference, including registration procedures, can be found on their website: www.zenithmun.net
