“Here’s to strong women! May we know them, We may be them, May we raise them.”
Living in fear in an environment of violence is a barrier to gender equality. However, this is the environment that is perpetuated in the city through the stories we hear most often – stories of violence, loss and oppression.
The Festival of Voices project is re-reading and foregrounding a range of powerful stories of Delhi’s women through a publication and diverse on-ground and online events.
Virangana, Women Development Cell, Dyal Singh College is proud to collaborate with Oxfam India for their event Festival of Voices which will be organized in our college.
The event emphasises on –
• Sharing of real stories of city women
• Dialogue/discussion around these stories and in the process, foreground the systemic nature of patriarchy and issues of gender equality.
• Parallel activities such as polling, message writing and art.
Digital Certificates will be issued to audience as well :)
