Ramjas College, University of Delhi is proud to announce the second edition of their music fest, Y?gen’19.
Backbeat, music society of Ramjas College is coming up with the most awaited music fests of Delhi University Yugen’19 on 23rd of February 2019. It is one of the most talked about music fests in Delhi University and witnesses high levels of competition and participation. Backbeat an infant society in the music circuit has built quite a name for itself and is known for its marvellous performers, love for creative fusion music and most of all for its warmth! It’s an Indian cum Western Music society and gives its members the freedom to perform and enjoy any form of music. After the thundering success of the fest last year with the highlight being the A cappella event, which sent some serious Sofar Sounds vibes, we are back, and this time, we’re doubling the energy and doubling the excitement: this year, the fest will commence and end on the same day, which means if you enter the college that day, you will find a tapestry of music, for we have a multitude of events: The classical Indian Choir event which will enthrall audiences with melodious Ragas and Talas, Battle of Bands will showcase a huge variety of raw, original fusion music and the Western A capella and solo event. So, on the 23rd of February, get ready for relentless entertainment! Gear up your instruments and bring your A-Game, for Y?gen is here again, and this time, our judges are senior, respectable musicians,like Shri Jitendera Singh Jamwal(a prominent Ghazal singer) and Abhay Sharma(Saxophone player) so be extra-ready. A footfall of about 2000 is expected where students cross campuses will participate and share the bond of music. Registrations start at 8:30am and Competitions start on 9am on 23rd February. Entry is free, all are invited to come and participate and revel in the joy of music!
