Are you Afreud of Psychology? Does the name Pavlov ring a bell? Or do you think you Mas-lay-low before exams? The answer has got to be a no because the Psychology Department of Gargi College is back with its annual fest, PsyFiesta!
With the intention to understand two of the most commonly used words, the theme for the event is Cultivating Happiness and Resilience. Happiness can be found in the most unexpected of places, things and people. You could find happiness in your work, in the book you’re reading or even in the person that first comes to your mind after you read this. You just have to be alert of happiness’ presence and welcome it with open arms at all times. And once you have done that, resilience or the ability to bounce back in life after a setback won’t seem like a difficult thing to do. As students of Psychology, not only is it our responsibility to understand these terms for ourselves but also to spread their importance to others around us.
And in order to do this, we shall take help from experts like Dr. Amiya Banerjee, Psychiatrist, Col. Harbir Singh, Ms. Neeti Palta, Stand-up comedian, and Dr. Jyotsna Bhardwaj, Master Trainer at NCERT.
What will follow is a list of competitions like PsychAd, Quiz, Story building and Photography competition which shall keep you engaged and more importantly, give you happiness.
So gather your emotions to alter your notions about finding happiness and staying strong,
Because Psyfiesta is almost here to keep you happy and strong for long!
The event will take place on 22nd October, so kindly save the date!
To have you here, we can hardly wait.
