Kamala Nehru college has been synonymous with the promotion of arts and culture. This year for the 8th consecutive year, Lakshya- The Theatre Society of Kamala Nehru College will be hosting their Annual Theatre Festival, ‘Concoction’. The theme for this years’ festival is ‘musafir’, an ode to the journeys that we’ve had, and would dream of going on.
The two day festival, will be showcasing various stage plays and street plays of many premier collegiate groups. 16th February will have the stage plays and also two major performances. Milind Kapoor will be hosting a stand up act and engaging the audiences with improvisational observational comedy. Later in the day, the renowned Sufi Nizami Brothers will be giving a qawalli performance and giving a beautiful end to day one.
Day two will start will be featuring the best street plays of the Delhi theatre circuit. The plays will be showcased at the beautiful amphitheatre of Kamala Nehru, the Chaupal. The day will also have an acoustic gig by Shashi Pratap Singh. After all the plays, the festival will be concluded by jamming sessions with Janasamkriti from Kerala and the Delhi Drum Circle.
The festival is one of the most awaited and sought after theatre festivals in the university. Huge footfall is expected from thespians and college students from all over the city.
