How to Get There

Reaching it, however, is a cause of worry for students who often have to rely on unpredictable cab services or the expensive auto rides. The metro is normally assumed to be the lesser of most evils as car parking is elusive and ‘no parking’ signs buried under layers of posters.

The procedure for admittance is thankfully simple due to the acceptance of the common form.

Sports and ECA Categories

There are special forms for Sports and ECA which need to be filled up and submitted alongside all relevant certificates. It is always a safe bet to figure out what all the college needs before hand from their admin. This is then followed by auditions/trials after which the students who are chosen are admitted.

Infrastructure

While classrooms haven’t been acknowledged for their external beauty, the possibly oldest auditorium in DU has. The construction of new laboratories has begun and there exist separate common rooms for both girls and boys where one can catch up on the daily dose of gossip or indulge in endless sessions of serious discussions. To add to these are a seminar room, a well-stocked library and a computer centre. Further, the portal- a ‘nondescript room buzzing with activity’ has made the process of admission much simpler.

Out-of Station Students

To make living convenient for outstation male students, there’s a hostel that houses about 170 students. A girls’ hostel is in the offing. Until then, the PG accommodations around the college make up for its absence. Out-station candidates may find some relief in the boys’ hostel facility that is provided on the basis of merit and a short interview.
