In keeping with the ethos of ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’, TEDxSRCC was an independently organized TED conference organized by the students of Shri Ram College of Commerce on the 28th of October, at Alliance Francaise. The conference did complete justice to its theme ‘Food for Thought’ by providing a wide platter of ideas to ponder upon, to its audience.

The conference kick started with an astounding performance by Ronnie Chibber, an internationally acclaimed sand artist. The most interesting part of his talk was the life lessons that he learnt from a street magician. Next up was Raj Desai, a budding tech entrepreneur, the mind behind the famous ‘WiFi Dustbins’. Raj spoke about his journey from being a student of Commerce to switching lanes to become the Co-Founder of a tech and innovation firm Think Scream. He also stressed upon the significant amount of information available on the Internet and the methodical way to use it efficiently.

Next up was a performance by Varun Narain a puppeteer. His performance concentrated on the emotions of human beings. He poetically used his puppets to impart ideas and subtly conveyed his message, about the boundaries that exist in human society between what is acceptable and what is not.
