The Economics Society of Gargi College organises Econovation 2015.

The Economics Society of Gargi College, Ecomantra, organised its Annual Economics Fest, Econovation on 8th September, 2015. The event witnessed substantial participation from various colleges across the University of Delhi. A fusion of exciting competitions and performances, the event managed to attract lots of attention and fervour from the participants.

An amalgamation of various formal and informal events, Econovation began with an inaugural talk by Mr. Abhijit Sen Gupta, India Resident Mission at the Asian Development Bank. Along with this, an interactive session with Prof. Meeta Keswani Mehra, Chairperson of Centre for International Trade & Development provided an insight into the intricacies of 21st Century Market Challenges and Opportunities.

Post these formal sessions, began the myriad competitions of the event. Participants were thoroughly engrossed in their respective competitions, zeal and exhilaration vivid in their activities.

The Paper Presentation; the amalgamation of Quizzing and Tambola, Quizbola and Poster Making Competition, Poster Mash saw very enthusiastic participation. Beg Borrow Deal was certainly the one of the most attractive competitions. Among the more formal events were the Debating Competition, Ex-Ante and Stock Shock which did not fail to test the wit and intellect of the participants.

The highlight of the event was the stellar dance performance, ‘Sthai’ by Smt. Madhyama Segal, a senior dancer of Pallavi – Odissi Nritya Sangeet Vidyalaya. A trained and groomed dance in Odissi, Smt. Madhyama’s exceptional performance mesmerized the audience.

Econovation reached a successful culmination with the prize distribution ceremony of the various competitions, the winners for which are mentioned below:
