After patrolling the mysterious lands of Miranda House, the DUB fashion police went down south to Sri Venkateswara College. After thoroughly investigating the fashion conscious, here is what we’ve got to share:
“My dress is from Vero Moda and my sandals are from Westside. I actually prefer Indian wear- kurta and salwar- as they are easy to carry off. I like Fab India’s collection and exclusively shop from there. I feel people should follow their own personal style and wear what they like.”

“I am wearing a Kasava Mundu, traditional dress of Kerala worn during Onam . I feel very comfortable in ethnic wear, especially kurtas and get them tailored. I am very fond of monochrome and prefer it when I wear western clothes. As a student of history, ancient Indian fashion fascinates me, especially the garment called ‘uttariya’, an upper garment which looked royal and beautiful.”

“I’m wearing a top from Marks and Spencer and my shoes are from Aldo.I am very fond of footwear! I prefer heels to flats and like shopping from South Extension and Aldo. To college, I like to wear casual and comfortable clothes with a fashion zing on my feet!”

“I find it convenient to shop online and that is where I bought my bag and my skirt from; the T-shirt is from Incense. Given the heat, skirts, maxis and loose dresses are the best options for the summer. I choose to wear what looks good on me rather than blindly follow fads and trends. Looking good is also about getting the basics right: being clean, taking a bath every day and having non-greasy hair.”

“I don’t have any rigid fashion preferences. I like to try new things every day. My favourite label is Zara. I like to integrate a little of my home, Manipur, into my style statement. My clothes and the embroidery on my bag hold symbols of my culture. I like to follow Hollywood styles and Leonardo Di Caprio’s fashion sense appeals to me the most!”
