The admission process for Delhi University is in full swing and students are trying their best to seek admission in top colleges. Besides the standard admission process, certain colleges in the varsity have provision for admission under various Extra Curricular Activity (ECA) quotas. An applicant can choose from various categories like drama, music, dance, debating, creative writing etc. Admission procedure solely depends on auditions and in some cases, an interview.
This year, admission through ECA is set for a change as DU has issued fresh norms for admission through ECA quota. 25 percent weightage will be given to previous experiences, certificates and achievements while the rest will be given to the auditions, which are totally fair and unprejudiced. If aspirants and applicants have the required skills and endurance to pass the rigorous auditions then they will be allowed to take up the course of their choice. Also, the fresh norms state that the students will not get more than 15 percent relaxation under the ECA quota. The applicants need to bring the counter foil/receipt of their admission form and they also need to produce the original certificates acquired in the past 3 years along with their self-attested photocopies.
