Theme: DISGUSTING
Public latrines and the divine scent that encompasses us as we walk past these temples dedicated to filth; The much practiced art of picking individual nose hair from cooperative nostrils; Projectile spit of multiple colors that might just catch you smack in the eye in case you aren’t looking.
Quite disgusting, we agree. And Word Spill, the DU Beat writing competition is dedicated to just that. Who says brilliant literature can’t be shitty. In this case the shittier the better. We want the best written, most disgusting entry that your putrid little brain can conjure.
1st prize: Rs 3000
2nd prize: Rs 2000
Winning entries would be published in the “RANDOM” magazine.

All entries should be emailed as word documents and subject line should be ” WORDSPILL”
All entries must be original and not more than 600 words.
The competition is open to everyone

i’m studying in CBS which is part od DU but an off – campus colg.
hence, the DU Beat issue is not stacked by the canteen wala or the library , it doesnt reach us and is not circulated in the colg !!!!
how do i check which entries won for this month’s competition and read their entries.
(it’s posing a problem as i dont think this site mentions the above mentioned !!!)
isnt it more conevenient fr everybdy if the site updates the winners every month and announces them so that ppl who dont have access to the magz can still remain in touch !!!

DU Beat gets circulated in Gargi, Hindu, JMC, LSR, SRCC, Hans Raj, IP College, Kamla Nehru, KMC, Venky and Stephens…you could grab one from any of these colleges!
But hey…if they do declare a winner anytime soon, i’ll put it up right here!
Think the results come out today tho…im not too sure…
